Faith in Motion. Justice in Action.

Rooted in the ancient Christian tradition of diakonia and motivated by Christ’s liberating love, Diakonia Americas exists to champion justice, advance systemic advocacy, and meet the vital needs of communities across the Americas. By uniting our historic, sacramental faith with bold social action, we empower all generations to build an inclusive world where human dignity flourishes.

What We Do

We believe the altar doesn't end at the church walls. Our work bridges the gap between ancient faith and modern human rights through a powerful dual strategy:

  • Hands-on Social Service: Deploying agile, community-led networks to provide immediate sanctuary, nutritional support, and holistic trauma care to those in crisis.

  • Systemic Advocacy: Mobilizing legal experts and faith leaders to challenge broken political structures, fight for humane immigration reform, and defend worker protections.

"Taking care of the marginalized and the displaced is a sacramental act. We are recognizing the presence of Christ on the dusty roads of our world."
